The Colorado's Ultimate Fishing Guide concept was developed simply because of need... pure and simple.
After spending literally
thousands and thousands of hours fishing the Rocky Mountains over the last four decades, it became apparent that although there are
dozens of tremendous fishing publications available, none offered concise comprehensive information for extensive bodies of water,
all in one place. Yes, if an angler was willing to pull out all of the available information, and leaf through it for a substantial
period of time, it was possible to put together a great game plan for targeting several bodies of water over a couple of days, but
what happened when that plan just didn't work out? Head home, or throw darts... After experiencing that situation dozens
of times over the years, and hearing about so many other anglers going through the same, I decided that just wasn't acceptable...
Colorado's
Ultimate Fishing Guide is the culmination of those thousands of hours fishing, reading all of those great fishing books, talking
to dozens and dozens of knowledgeable anglers, researching facts and figures from every source I could discover... and condensing
it into a spreadsheet.
It is by far the most expansive compilation of information for fishing in Colorado available... and
incredibly simple to use! It is not, however, a "stand alone" publication. The book version should always
be combined with either the Colorado Gazetteer or Colorado Road and Recreation Atlas when you're already out fishing. If you're
